<<WAVE REWIND<<
Not much out there lately. Small swell pushed in upcoast in central Florida last week. Looked fun at some spots.
SURFCAST DISCUSSION
Not much out there at the moment. Watching the tropics late week and weekend as GFS continues to bring a developing storm from the Caribbean and bring it up toward us around the 9th. On the one hand you have a lot of extra warm water in the NW Caribbean and Gulf, it's in a climatologically favored area, and it looks like there will be a tough digging into the gulf that would pull it northward. On the other hand, it's not a tropical wave, it's a spin coming off of the Central American gyre and the gfs is notorious for spinning up all of those (remember the end of last year, and many other may/june's where it showed stuff that never happened.) and it's in a 50+kt shear environment that would be typically irrational for a tropical system to form, let alone strengthen into a hurricane in that environment. So for now we just watch and wait.

LONG RANGER SURFCAST
Eventually the shear relaxes in the Caribbean and conditions will be more favorable...(like around the 2nd and 3rd week of June) and maybe then something would be more believable to form down there. We shall see. until then stick with credible sources for info before panicking. Stay Tuned!
